Ukrainian Psychoanalytic Union – it’s a professional community of specialists in the field of psychoanalysis and psychodynamic (based on the principles of psychoanalysis) psychotherapies.
Our mission – to contribute into enhancement of mental health of Ukrainian nation and society in general by means of highly qualified psychological help to private and entities.
World Health Organization (WHO) determines “mental health” as a condition of well-being at which person is able to fully realize his/her potential, to cope with regular life’s stresses, to work productively and fruitfully and also to invest in life of his/her society. We rely on this exact definition when we formulate our mission and stages of its embodiment.
We see the successful implementation of the above set task in elaboration of the following directions:
- creation of specialized consulting centers;
- building of educative platform for constant refresher training as well as improvement of professional skills and competence of the specialists of supporting professions;
- Increasing of “psychological literacy” and awareness of population.
So far outlined by us strategic initiatives are already fulfilled in the following results:
- the first consulting centre with convenient transport communication only 5 minutes walk from metro station Arsenalnaya (Kyiv, Pecehrsk district) is opened.;
- at the base of the centre the social project on psychological help to population started up;
- there is an acting support program of young specialists on how to start, develop and to become successful in your own private practice;
- there are special conditions and offers of participation in professional events and development of their private practice for organization’s members;
- there is a principled agreement with leading specialists of French psychoanalytic school on the launch of joint educative project for colleagues from Ukraine and neighboring countries;
- symposiums and scientific conferences on professional experience exchange and coverage of newest methodologies and approaches to psychotherapy are conducted on a regular basis.
As for our plans for the nearest future the key fields still are partnership expansion with leading local and foreign psychological and psychoanalytic associations, joint educative projects and constant increasing of quality of psychological service delivery.
