ANNOUNCEMENT

2 Lectures by GABRIELA GOLDSTEIN: “Psychoanalysis of AVOIDANCE and ANXIETY”

Dear colleagues, we are pleased to invite you to two lectures by Dr. GABRIELA GOLDSTEIN titled “Psychoanalysis of AVOIDANCE and ANXIETY.”

Dr. Gabriela Goldstein is a psychoanalyst and IPA supervisor, president of the Argentine Psychoanalytic Association (2020–23), and the representative for Latin America on the IPA Executive Committee.

Each of us has experienced a sense of emptiness, though we process it in our own way: whether it transforms into a psychotic core of the personality or becomes a neurotic deficiency that we seek to fill through relationships with others—this is a fundamental question in the psychoanalytic study of anxiety. Such clinical cases allow us to take a fresh look at Freud’s work “Inhibition, Symptom, Anxiety” and understand the difference between neurotic and psychotic anxiety. In the second part of the course, Dr. Gabriela Goldstein will present a clinical case study that illustrates her original approach to the clinic of anxiety and avoidance.

We look forward to your participation and a lively professional exchange.
