Education Committee
BYLAWS OF THE EDUCATION COMMITTEE
OF THE UKRAINIAN PSYCHOANALYTICAL UNION
EDUCATION COMMITTEE - a body of the Organization that develops, adapts, and implements educational programs in psychoanalysis and programs that promote the professional development of psychoanalysts, as well as anyone interested in psychoanalysis.
In its activities, the Education Committee is guided by the current legislation of Ukraine, the UPA Code of Ethics, the UPA Bylaws, and other founding documents of the UPA.
1. The Chair of the Education Committee is elected by the UPA Conference.
2. The composition of the Education Committee is formed by the Chair of the Committee and approved by the President for a term of 4 years.
3. The Committee consists of UPS members.
4. Meetings of the Education Committee are convened at the request of the Chair, but no less than once a year.
5. A meeting of the Education Committee is valid if a majority of its members are present.
6. Decisions of the Education Committee are adopted by a simple majority of its members’ votes. In the event of a tie, the Chairperson’s vote is decisive. In the event of complex or contentious situations, the Chairperson submits them to the UPS Conference for resolution.
7. Decisions of the Education Committee on matters within its jurisdiction are binding on all governing bodies and members of the Organization.
8. The Chair of the Education Committee reports on the Committee’s activities to the Conference of the Organization’s members.
9. The Education Committee, in accordance with its authority, carries out the following:
• develops and implements educational programs in psychoanalysis;
• develops and implements educational programs that promote the professional development of psychoanalysts and all those interested in psychoanalysis;
• adapts and implements educational programs in psychoanalysis;
• adapts and implements educational programs that promote the professional development of psychoanalysts and all those interested in psychoanalysis.
10. The Committee’s activities are directed toward members of the Ukrainian Psychoanalytic Society (UPS), psychoanalysts, and anyone interested in psychoanalysis.
